Well I've lost my characters ear (to mike). Is the chewed up ear of any use? Its description says it might be but im thinking it was likely not implemented in the game.
I also lost some of the mod chips to raise your stats to the kids at the den. Which shops should I check for them? Seems nobody has them :-(

Mod chips? What the Hell are those?
As to the children I say you go down there and cut them, I don't know if it will get your stuff back but when someone steals from me in a post apocolyptic world I cut them.

Im not sure what they're called. Anyway its the circuit board type thingies that raise your statistics that you find scattered all over the place (one in Vault 13, one in Military Base, one in Navarro, etc..)
And I tried killing all shopkeepers and all the kids. No stuff. Just money where the little heathens had sold my priceless and unreplacable items :(
Since the items are likely permanently gone, is there a mod that can allow me to cheat and give my character whatever items I want?
Or perhaps I'll just use a character editor to boost whatever stats that correspond to the cards that im missing when the time comes.
And sheesh, what sets off Horrigan killing the Brotherhood Guy? Its taking FOREVER! And I already have the GECK. Do I need to visit Navarro or the Tanker or what?

(1) No, but if you lose the ear your CH will permanently go down by 1.
(2) It's usually at the shops in the first map - Tubby's, Flit's, etc.

My stuff isn't in either of those shops. I lost it in the eastern portion of town to those little jerks outside the hole so I don't know who they would sell it to?
Guess I'll have to hack my char. I hate that but the game really should have been tweaked better.
Course I'll still wait until the BOS guy gets whacked. No sense in cheating early :)

Well there's always Falche, and there used to be a invintory editor on the Files page but I can't find the one I had, there seems to be one called FIC though,
just don't use these if it's your first time playing or you're a bitch, and nobody likes a bitch.

I've won on it before.
Besides, I feel cheated. Lost some very valuable items. Wish I had known to let my party members kill them earlier in the game.

I let my characters kill a kid once, and I got tagged as a childkiller, so save before you do that!

If you've never played through FO2 w/o having to fight off hordes of Bounty Hunters coming out of the woodwork you've never experience the random encounter philosophy of "My job is to kill the player character off."

I don't get why bounty hunters don't go after the PC anyway. If you kill a bunch of slavers and let all the slaves go, then shouldn't you have a bounty hunter on your tail? Its not like good people are the only ones who can hire bounty hunters.
I also feel that the mutants should have actively pursued the Vault Dweller in the original game after he fulfilled one of his main two goals.

How do you lose your ear?

To lose your ear you have to fight with Masticator Mike and make it last a while.. eventually he will get in a hit that will take off your ear (it says something like, "In the heat of the fight The Masticator bites off your ear!"
I didn't notice the severed ear in my inventory until later :-/

If you kill all the bad guys, there's no one left to send bh's after ye.
Good guys on the other hand, tend to be some wicked never-ending natural force that just *poops* out new ppl every now and then. Maybe it has got something to do with reproducing, I dunno?!?!

Wha...? God damn, I could play Fallout for 100 years straight, and still be learning new things about it.

I've played it through twice and pretty much know everything there is to know.

Somehow I doubt that, unless you read a walkthrough, looked at spoilers on forums, or constantly reverted to previous save games to trying out everything with every possible combination of stats, NPCs, etc.
No, even if you did that last one there's no one you can possibly cover every combination using just two characters...
