Can't recall if they sometimes get jammed or damaged during battle. If it does happen it is extremely rare. Congratulations!

Well I guess the most obvious things are:

1. Are you positive that you have ammo for it?
2. Are you sure you are using it correctly?
3. Use something else, there are plenty of guns in FOT and the Colt isn't one of the more impressive ones. I use the 9mm because ammo is easier to come by ad damage is about the same.

This will probably be moved to the FOT forums but I am not a mod here so I can't do it.

Hey M92FS!

I see you finally made the migration to these forums!

If you can't figure out the problem, email me the ENT file, and I'll check it out and try to find the problem.

Weapons can be damaged in battle, but they won't jam. One of the possible critical results on a hit to the right arm is that the weapon you're holding will be damaged. If this happens you will see "Weapon Damage" flash over the affected character's head, and the weapon will no longer function, nor will it combine w/other weapons of its type. To fix this, place the weapon on the ground and use the Repair Skill on it. (This does not require any items to do.) On a succesful skill check the character will repair 15 HP of damage -- and receive 15 XP for his/her trouble -- and the weapon will be functional again.

1. ya , n it's loaded with .45 ammo.
2. ya , eg. i equipped 2 weapons ( both r guns ) the other weapon functions normally , but not colt 45.
3. my favorite handgun is beretta m92fs , but for the game sake , i'm using colt 45.

thks for answering anyway. ;)

Okay, problem solved:

Go to the "Weapons Tab" (the first one) and set the "Weapon Type" to "Pistol". You had it set to "None", which is the same mistake I made w/my boots entity the other day.

Do this and your pistol will work just fine.

Cheers,

OTB

No problem, M92FS!

Believe me, I know how frustrating these little mistakes can be. I've made lots of them in the past couple of years.
