Ok... when I try to run Fallout 2, I get this message:

Image
EDIT: Not enough free hard disk space. Fallout requires at least 20.0 megabytes of free hard disk space.

Note: I'm running Windows XP and I've got about 60 GB of hard drive space left, I've got 512 MB ram, good graphics card, fast processor etc. I tried restarting my computer and nothing was fixed... someone please help if you have any suggestions.

EDIT: I've been playing Fallout 2 quite a bit before this happened, so I know it runs on my config.

No don't reinstall, all you have to do is edit the cfg file.
It'll have a line in it somewhere about miniumum disk space, can't remember the exact wording... but change whatever number is there to 0 and you're set. I do assume you actually do have free space right?
It's some kind of quirk with fat32 that makes it register as having not enough room that does it usually.

I get that often with Fallout 1, but rebooting always seems to solve the problem.

or if none of that works, run a shortcut of it in win98 compatibility layer (under the shortcut's properties)

Thank you very much SuperH...

Congratulations, you're off my hitlist! Just in time too, how lucky.

could you not just quote the 2 line long error instead of posting a picture of it?

i bet the game won't run because of your flitty background.

You got that error because you have Tribes on your comp.
