As you ppl all know there is a car in Fallout 2 . There can also be several carparts found . In Navarro in one of the lockers behind Raoul there's a part called " motor part " .

Can you use this in your car or what ?

That is for the robot dog downstairs in the base, in the room with the scientist. You can get him to join you. I think it can also be used as the motor for the droid in Sierra Army Depot, who makes a much better companion and can use guns.

You're wrong Jimbo San there is the motor and the k-9 motivator the motivator is for the dog (aka-canine"k-9 for short") do the math :P
Now for the motor being used in Skynet i doubt cause Skynet needs a Robot Motivator not a Motor part. Maybe you can install it on the car i really dont know (mmm a car with a Vertibird motor part absolutely nothing can stop a Highwayman with one of those hehe  )

Didn't know about the motor. Thought you meant the K9 motivator. Now you've given me another excuse to play the game through again. :) The item is probably junk from an unfinished side quest. There are enough of them. {sighs}

I just checked the motor, and of course no-go, as I expected...
You people have a way too vivid imagination...

Yes, we won't be going there, will we? The mental imagery is... scarring... to say the least 8O

The Treasure quest. Give a Cat's Paw mag, the Blow-Up doll and a bottle of Rot-Gut to the ghoul in the Old Ghoul's home and he'll reveal the treasure's location. The treasure is crap though, but you get 2000 XP for giving him the items.

It was just a theory, i mean its a MOTOR part it could be fixed in CAR exactly for the fact of the thing being named a MOTOR dont you think?

I hate unfinished quests...

Oooh, look, a Gold ROCK. OMG IT HAS TO BE AN UNFINISHED QUEST!

Look, the car visibly has a motor, otherwise it wouldn't exactly run now would it? so this is really not an "unfinished quest".

Yes, it can, imagine you could make another gold watch to farrel (jk)

I suppose the motor could be part of some unfinished quest regarding the Vertibirds. Damn those crappy unfinished quests. :x

It's just a damn motor lying around in a workshop. Just because it's an item in the game doesn't mean it has to be a part of a quest, it's a workshop, there's bound to be some useless crap and junk just lying around there.

You're half right... Because almost every item i can think of has a use in the game (except the damned tb-51a power armor manual, and the nuka-colas) so the damned motor could have a use somewhere...
DAMN unfinished quests (lets hope that fallout 3 doesnt have them) on the other hand they give us great conversations in the forums...
i hate decisions...

Even if these things keep being rehashed over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (well you get the picture  )
Damn those unfinished quests. There are so many that every other thread in some FO forums is an unfinished quest thread. Grrrr. I'll be so peeved if they have unfinished quests in FO3.

Dude, as soon as you see an item in the game that has no use, you think "Unifinished quest". It's not. It's just a fucking item. Get over it.

I just don't see the point in putting in random useless items. If that is the case, that's even worse.

There's tons of random useless items...

Beef Jerky (can't eat it!), the T51b Manuals, the bag, the flowers, the motor as we've seen, the bowl of petunias, the Scorpion Claws... And well, ok, that's not tons, but it's still a lot, and I'm quite sure there are more then that.

And its a good think it has a lot of unusable stuff. To me it adds flavor to a game(provided you don't overdo it). For instance you could describe a lot of elements of the world using this sort of items. See what Endocore is doing in quagmire map for instance.
