Bah! damn you IE6

Ok, I need some help with my stupid InternetExplorer. I'm sending this from a friend's house because my stupid computer can't browse the internet...

All connections are good, I can chat on anything and use other internet accessing programs, just not IE. I have no spyware, and no viruses. But for some reason, stupid IE just gets a "Cannot find server" error whenever I try to surf. very stupid.

I've tried a bunch of things, but I don't know what to do and I'm sick of not having internet surfing/browsing capabilities. help!

I have no clue what would be wrong; have you tried making sure Internet Explorer isn't set to "work offline" mode?

Okthen... I got mozilla, I don't really like it though (seems to be very slow...).

The only thing unusual that happened before IE died was a memory dump (not very uncommon for my computer). Don't think that memory dumps can cause programs to stop functioning...?
