Well I guess this recent event only brings to light what we've all known for a good while now. The Fallout community is stagnate, has been for a good while. So here are some ideas...

Cover all things Post Apocalyptic. Books, Movies, Games. The whole kit and kaboodle. Problem: Most of these things suck, hard. (See: FOPOS, Kevin Costner and Puuk) not only that, PAMEDIA is already a pretty good site, you don't need much more than that.

Cover all things Post Apoc Gaming (expand areas for other games such as STALKER and Project Phoenix)

Other... please elaborate.

You ashould begin to cover evrything that related to post apocalyptic, futuristic or cyberpunk. Anyway it is not like these theme are really that popular with the exception of rts and FPS where the futuristic is really present. But futuristic rpg are quite rare the last one was kotor, or maybe FOBOS but i wont go there. Yes the community is arrive to a crisis because there will maybe never other interisting fallout game to play. So you need to put diversity. But int the end it's your site, it's your choice.

Also, I think we should stick with PA games...There's plenty of the ilk surfacing...Even MODs for other games based on PA...

I'm definately into STALKER and Phoenix, so you've gotta keep the PA games and the occasional Fallout factoid going. As for the other PA media, it should still be around, but not so much of it please. The newsmods should use their discretion and only post the bits that are likely to interest the majority of DAC-goers (which are pretty rare).

There's not much relevant news worth chatting about anyway, especially since the canning of F3. The newsmods should just sit back and let DAC run its course for a bit.

I think things that should be intresting too people who visit DAC? Cover games, but if there's something cool just cover that too. I thought we already covered most PA games though? Being able too become a decent site for other games as well as Fallout could be intresting though. We need more information on the main site too keep it alive, like devote a section too stalker or movies. Something solid. We have people who'd probably gather stuff or know enough about things too support extensive new sections.

We need some more new users on the forums too. The slow trickle every month is starting to slow down. And I want DAC too live without becoming watered-down like NMA or having too know a lot about shit like the codex? I like the codex but you have to think and stuff, can't just browse the odd paragraph or two? Anyway, more users would be fun. We have a bit of a bad reputation, but only between Fallout fans who post on the Interplay forums. If DAC got more exclusive shit we could be w1n.

We need new stuff though, otherwise DAC will just curl up into a ball and slowly die or suddenly get shut down by some crasy vegetarians? More variety and users please.

I like to read about all things post-apoc, so I'd say that you should cover everything pa-related; books, movies, games and so on.

Go with the gaming, I think we're all here primarily because of the gaming rather than the PA side of Fallout. As you said there's always PAMedia.

I'm not sure about expanding to cyberpunk (are there any remotely good cyberpunk games?) maybe include some interconnected genres like world war?

I agree about the PA Games. Why focus on PA Media when there are probably HUNDREDS of sites out there that already do that?

Of course, it'd be nice if we could only focus on turn based PA combat games, but I don't think enough of those exist :-/

Yeah, more content on the site is what I've always wanted. Get that damn movie review section open. Let people submit reviews. Fan Art and Fiction can use a boost. A lot of little things can add up and keep everybody busy.

I voted everything, although I agree the focus should be games. I don't visit PAMedia that often, so I'd like to see some info around here at least.

And two thumbs up for a new look, I'm getting tired of this one too. It never even really got finished did it?

Don't change it too much.

I kinda like this simple theme. Of course I like simple forums though, so that's just me.

And I've read a bit that some words have been keyed to automatically change to something else. If we're going to change fan-tasy then maybe each member should vote on a word change.. hmm.. well that could get out of hand. I'd rather just see things as I want to see them and not impose my views on everyone else.

Yeah, more user reviews sections, short story sections, stuff like that would be good. The site itself should keep us updated on the games, but the users could review movies, games, books, etc.. if they wish in the forums. Just don't post too much on the main page about books and movies or it just won't be the same place anymore.

But yeah, anything to make the site more fun. I like the forum changes right now, the words and smilies, makes the place more fun. Sorta like Tropical Day or something, less annoying and more personalitified or whatever.

DaC should cover most things post apoc so that it can become a onestop shop.
as good as people think PA media is i think we could do with a book/movie section with the opinions of people such as OTB or some people along those lines to give us some good book or movie ideas every once in a while.

I think there is hope for Fallout 3. Do u remember toejam & Earl? From genesis? One of the best non-rpg 90s game? They are now going to lauch a new version for X-Box. Since 1994 there isn't a sequel to that game. (since panik in funktron which is a crap like FOBOS).

A decade.... so there is hope. Like X-com.... Ops. forget about that.
