[ -> Interview]
Do It Yourself Games has posted an <A href="http://www.diyg.com/index.php?p=434&mor ... terview with Mark Currie of Inhuman Games about their post apocalyptic RTS game based on resource supply lines, Trash. There's also a few screenshots of the game in the interview showing it's progress - it actually looks pretty nice now. Anyway, the clip:

DIY: Where are you working now?

MC: I'm working as a contractor for Microsoft on a game called Mythica. It's definitely a cool project.

DIY: How's it feel working for "The Man" again?

MC: Well, there's pros and cons. It's nice working on a large team where you feed off each other and you all have a common goal. It's nice having a lot of resources backing you up. It's nice having someone take out the trash. (Laughs) It's really nice having a steady paycheck.

I remember posting a beta announcement for this thing over a year ago. Nice to see they're still working on it, though.

Killzig's Edit: Erm, yeah Saint... SOMEONE GET GRANDPA BACK TO HIS FARKING ROOM!

Prov's Edit: WHOOPS! I got confuse-ed and posted about the interview from last year. The new interview is more current, and includes bits like this:

DIY: What happened? Tell me about the last 12 months.

MC: Well, we tried to get a publisher, we talked with a few smaller publishers, but...

DIY: What was their reaction to the game?

MC: They had some interest, some of them at least, others had none. It became clear to us that we weren't really going to get the kind of deal we were looking for, which would have been to finish the game and release it at the level of quality we wanted to.

Now I have a job and I'm going to self fund it to completion.

Now that's current.
