So I guess this is when I figure out if I want to get BF1942 or not? Anyone played it yet? Any good? Eh? Eh? I bet it's going to suck.

BF1942 is fun. For a little while. Singleplayer is shit. and you need a heck of a computer with broadband to fully enjoy the multiplayer, even then, too much spawn point campers, team killers, etc. It's fun over LAN tho.

This mod is really fun. Very well done. Last night I was sniping with a hunting rifle, and I killed 2 people. I heard a noise, and I turned around just in time to see this beat up old car run me over. It was awesome.

As for BF1942, it is not worth getting unless you have a good connection. I'm at school right now, and we have the second fastest connection at a private college in the US, but at home I have DSL, and I get lots of lag.

I enjoyed it for the brief cluster of minutes I played it. It has a good idea, and well done models and such. I hope to play it at LAN soon.

BF1942 was terrible, although this mod looks fun.

BF1942 was in effect a vehicle sim that happened to have guns tossed in.
