I Got Mono - Help!

Mine isn't that bad, I just get really tired at class and always feel like i'm about to cough but never do? That's probably the most annoying thing about it. At first I thought it was the begining of a cold or fever but it didn't change. I had some swelling in my throat but most of it just went away after a couple days... From what I know you can only get mono once then you become immune to it.

Who else has had it and how long before I stop feeling like i'm an old man that wants to take a nap all the time?

And I have to hork a lot which is sexy?

One of the guys in my dorm got mono. It's been 6 weeks and he feels better now. He didn't feel too bad during the actual mono phase cause the guy is stoned, drunk, or pilled out most of the time. But that's off topic. 6-8 weeks will be about how long it takes if you stay inactive for a while.

When I got it I fell asleep for two days, woke up, took a shit, and fell asleep for another day. After that I was just groggy all the time and my throat hurt really badly. It took maybe three weeks for me to feel better.

Well, if that's your thing(And I do indulge in these vices occasionally, I won't lie), go ahead and do it. You're not going to be doing much streneous activity, or getting outside too much for a while. Of course, we're all gamers here, I assume? Another good time killer. Stock up on some books you might have wanted to read. And make sure you don't give it to a friend, as that would really piss them off.

Really, the best thing to do is take a lot of naps. You'll feel like it anyway.

I had a mono like 3 years ago, I stayed home for 2 months with FF8, some weed, ice cream and music. I had a great time.

man you guys need to stay away from hookers. ive never caught mono in my existance nor do i know anyone who has. i dont know what you guys are into to get it.

Hookers with mono? Hell no. Apperantly at the Knowledge Bowl regionals that I was at last weekend there was someone with Whooping Cough. What the hell is THAT doing around here.
