Beneath A Steel Sky 2 Sort of Announced

Post by Mad Max RW »

<strong>[ -> Update]</strong>

<html><body><P>This may be a stretch as far as post apocalyptic stuff is concerned, even though the original has plenty of references with future desert wastelands and other goodies I like. Anywho, today <A HREF=http://www.computerandvideogames.com/r/ ... )id=102457 target=_blank>CVG confirmed</A> a sequel to Revolution Software’s 1994 adventure game Beneath A Steel Sky is in the works.</P><blockquote><em>Revolution, best known for its highly respected and successful Broken Sword series, registered the url www.steel-sky2.com on March 4, 2004 (see here for details) and Revolution MD Charles Cecil today confirmed with us that pre-production on the title had indeed begun.
<br>
<br>"Beneath a Steel Sky is a game that is still widely respected and we are regularly asked when we will write the sequel," Cecil told us. "Beneath A Steel Sky 2 is a project Revolution has been considering for a while, and has stated to move forward on, but we are unable to comment beyond this."
<br>
<br>The game is believed to be at a very early stage in development, and it's unclear as to when we'll see something more concrete, although it is expected to hit PC and next-gen consoles in line with the company's current platform stance.</em></blockquote><P>You may remember the first game was made freeware last year. It can be downloaded along with the <A HREF=http://www.scummvm.org/ target=_blank>ScummVM emulator</A>.</P></body></html>

May I be the first to say,

Straight up awesome.

I love the first, just finally managed to beat it after I found out they emulated it with ScummVM, I tried first in Win98, then WinXP, then finally pure DOS before (I actually own the original game disk) and it always, without fail, would crash horribly. :D <3 ScummVM, <3 Revolution

There Broken Sword 3 was well recieved by the fans of the series, so this one will probably go in the same vien. I havent played the first yet, but I plan to sometime soon.

It's freeware folks, download it now and play it hard.

It's an old school point and click adventure game. It's also pretty well written, and has some good humor that doesn't always resort to swearing and bathroom humor, ala FOBOS.

But you can't beat free, so go check it out.
