Empathy
Silent Running
Sniper
Thoughout, I make sure I grab awareness whenever there isn't anything else specific I need right there. Ghost is nice to have. Overall, definitly sniper.

Hm. I lke Bonus ROF and Awareness alot. HOWEVER! I enjoy perks like Master Thief that give a hefty free 40 points. Just decrease [skill] and use the points elsewhere.

That's true, that's a fine thing to do!

Overall: Slayer
Beginning: Faster HtH Attacks
Middle: Action Boy (Two levels)
End: Slayer
That is just for my HtH build. Tag is not even necessary, except perhaps to get an extra 100 or so skill points.

Isnt HtH useless in fallout 1?

Depends on you're style of play. A good HtH player can wade through Super Mutants with little problems.

In any Fallout game, my favorite perk has to be Awareness. It's amazingly useful and it's level 3! I like to take Fast Shot (a trait, I know, but I'm going somewhere), Bonus Rate of Fire, and as many levels of Action Boy or Gain Agility are needed to have 10 AP and fire the Turbo Plasma Rifle with 2 AP. Firing five shots a round with that puppy is a lot of fun.

Toughness. Three of those and power armor makes you pretty much invincible in F1

Not when you kill the Lieutenant in half a turn.

Well than, here is what my advice would be, Haplo. 10 Agility, 8 Luck (Get it increased by 2 in Adytum) high END, 6 STR. Fast Shot. Stay away from Heavy Handed. It is nice in the beginning, but that 30% less damage from crits really hurts you in the endgame. I know that from personal experience. With those Perks, every hit is a critical, and you get 12 of them a round. Very, very nice...
If only they had Jet in Southern California.....
I am going to be experimenting trying the same with Super Sledge. I have not used that weapon in FO1, but if it is like in 2, than most of your AP's will be spent hunting down bad guys after you knock them across the screen....

That always disturbed me. If you did a good hit, the enemy flew several hexes away from you and you had to use some APs to move near him again. Best thing to do is to squish them against the wall.
