Skipped Far Cry.

Post by ExtremeDrinker »

I skipped Far Cry for now, and went with a series I'd skipped for a long time: Unreal Tournament 2004...It kicks a lot of ass, and I was really surprised how good it looks...This is the first FPS I've played/seen since I got Half Life a few years back.

Anyway, does anyone know if there are any Fallout type mods for 2k4? Maps and Skins from 2k3 work, but the mods from 2k3 don't seem to work at all.

I found a FOT Power Armor skin, but I didn't really like how those looked, so I skipped it. Are there any good FO inspired skins, or even just "guy in leather jacket" skins out there?

It came out not long ago so you will probably have to give it some time so people can make it. You shouldn't have to wait long with how popular the game is.

Is it really THAT good? I played the demo a bit and there was nothing to convince me of paying 50$ for the game....

I never said I paid for it....

But yeah, if I actually wanted to play over the net (not just LAN), it might be worth paying for...I truely enjoy this. It's the first FPS I've actually really liked playing since Duke Nukem 3D. I did buy Half Life because it was supposed to be super tight, but I never really got into it..Ever. I'm totally digging UT 2k4, though.

The Single Player is actually quite fun..It's just like playing Death Match or Capture The Flag with real people, and it's quite difficult...I'm working my way through it right now, and my buddy beat it on the hardest level yesterday evening. We're having a little LAN party this weekend with about 10 of us.

I've never played a game against more than one person at a time..I played DM on Duke3D over the modem all the time, but never did do network play. I'm looking forward to it.

Don't you need to buy it so you have a valid CD-KEY for online play?

I don't play online..I play on a LAN...Just our computers connected together through our router. My friends played it last weekend with no CD-Key over their lil'LAN.

Yea I know what'S a LAN. I just thought, from your first post, that you were playing over internet. Sorry I must have put some words into your mouth you didn't pronounce.

I've got a bunch of 3D programs and a lot of paint programs..The thing is that I'm extremely lazy, and I want someone else to do it for me and better than me.
