Well, um, I guess it is... The gun actually *is* reloadable, but you have to send it back to the Heckler & Koch -factory in Germany to have the work done

I'm not really good with the specific technical details, but I think it has something to do with preasurised air (and/or other gases) and water-proof seals? Those are both pretty hard to come by in the heat of the battle, I guess.
It seems that several armies around the world actually use them. Mainly the special force divers / diving marine corps. But for some odd reason the specific statistics of the gun are rather 'top secret', in sense of finding stuff about it is a real pain in the ass. Apparently several militaries confirm they use it, but decline to release any more detailed info.
Weird stuff.
And about Desperado / El Mariachi - series... You don't have to take those movies too seriously. If you watch 'em tongue in cheek and want some cool, although ridicilous, shoot-outs they're good enough. Then you feel like you were *supposed* to laugh.
