It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Law & Order, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 68%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Gambling. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Atogaland's national animal is the atog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the atoga chit.

Actually, the whole mess seems pretty gay, I just wanted to create a country. And right after joining I got spammed with messages saying "A/S/L"? so that killed the whole experience.

Makes me want to play Tropico again.

Meh, I've know about that site for a while now. Use to play it rabidly but after 4 months it got kind of stale for me -- there were hardly any new issues coming up.

Been playing it on and off right now, at the moment I got me a "complusory consumerist state."

The Republic of Hastings Research is a very large, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 81 million are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

Read the book it's inspired by, Jennifer Government, it's freaking awesome the first time you read through it.

The large, moralistic government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 24%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Woodchip Exports industry, followed by Pizza Delivery and Beef-Based Agriculture.

Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Einherjer's national animal is the sodomizing muskrat and its currency is the dollar.

The first two are pretty much experimental, but the third one represents my thoughts to some point at least:
