While there might be an insidiously remote chance that this isn't a horrible turn of events, I find myself adopting a sceptical viewpoint on this issue.

Surprising ? Not at all, it is Bethesda.. :drunk:

Poop, post out this funny image you linked on #fallout. With the villager and stuff.

I'm sure it's gonna be shitty but I still can't wait to get more details. FPS or isometric? TB or RT? SPECIAL or not? Are they resuming JE's project or are they doing for a third time what has already been done twice?

Hopefully Bethesda will realise that they stand to make a better game, and a greater profit if they stick with the Fallout formula. They could sell shrink-wrapped turds simply by putting a 'Made by the creators of Morrowind' sticker on the package as far as the X-box community as a whole is concerned. Anything else would simply alienate an entire fan base, one that as we all know is particularly vocal. :drunk:

If they don't fall into the same trap as they did in Morrowind (quantity over quality), then it might be good.

That problem with Morrowind can be fixed if you download enough mods. :P

Yeah, but paying 40$ for the game, then 30$ each for two expansions and still needing to download mods to enjoy the game is a fucking pain. Indicates someone didn't do his job right.

I'd like to see what their next Elder Scrolls game is like before getting all excited. Because chances are we won't see FO3 until 2007 at the earliest.

Hell, there's a good chance they will sit on the license forever and never touch it again. A lot can happen between now and Fallout 3. Bethesda can go out of business; the industry might crash; who knows.

I kindda liked Daggerfall... apart from all the bugs which made it almost impossible to complete it...
"...rest well this night, for tomorrow you will sail for the Kingdom of Daggerfall"

And morrowind.. well, I suppose I think its alright.

What someone really should do is an online version of moonstone (the old Amiga game).... that'd be awesome.

And that is my cup of tea...big tits and asses.
Edit: big trolls in masses.

They need to quit developping new engines full of particle effects and start writing scenarios and dialogues. Kill the coders, long live the writers.

They're starting pre-production. They don't even know if the turn-based gameplay rears it's beautiful bosom, much less have a development team ready. I'm really hesitant of counting on an over-rated E3 demostration in 2005.
The industry might crash;
Wouldn't be surprised, the game industry seem to be at critical mass with the lack of creativity of publishers. I blame the Japs and the consoles but hey, that's just me.
