how do u get to be a general of vault city?

I have two answers, short and short.

Short: Lick Lynette's ass(bleah) hard enough.
Short: Ceck out NUFO2G. I think it was explained in NCR section, in one of the quest.

Involves a heavy amount of bootlicking. Something alongthe lines of finishing every line with "First Citizen" and not telling her you repaired the gecko pp.

I myself have never got it though.

I know you can become captain of the gusrd by taking Lynette's holodisk to Westin in NCR and so on, but I never heard of the general thingy. :confused2:

It's the captain of the guard status he's talking about. You can't become a general.

There's this loop in Lynette's dialogue where you can address him as the First Citizen for an unlimited time, which earns you 'respect' in her eyes (ie. a simple if-or-else counter).

It also takes a high CH so pack up on Mentats.
