[Game -> Update]
From HomeLAN Fed,

THQ sent out a press release annoucing that they are working with AMD to develop and publish a 64 bit version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, which will, according to the press release, "provide an immersive gaming experience with a larger playable world, more detailed surroundings, better AI, and more people per map." There is no word on when the 64 bit version of the upcoming GSC GameWorld developed first person shooter will be released.

Those changes sound like they could affect gameplay in a fairly major way - a larger world? More people on the map? I can understand a better processor giving optimised performance and nicer graphics, but these enhancements sound more significant than that. Maybe it's just PR speak.

darn sarnit
Ok so it is going to be 64 bit that's nice. But doesn't that mean if it's a bigger multiplayer that there will be more lag. Also if they are going to do that does that mean the release date will get pushed back? I was looking forward to it already being out already. Dammit!
Ignore my warnings and pay no heed then your live will be ended shortly indeed!
