Serious question here...

Do any of you actually hold tight to any vague hopes or dreams that this game will actually, in some way, shape, or form, be good?

I always hope, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Not really. But with World of Warcraft coming out soon, I don't really care anymore.

I'm more of the school of "It's gonna suck so just accept it (but that just means that if it doesn't then I'll be happily surprised)"

I don't even play video games any more, for the most part. I'm pretty sure they'll fuck it up, though.

We need a DAC orgy in that game. With all... five of us who will play.

I'll buy it if it's awesome, and download it if it sucks.
Can't really say that I expect it to be the former, though :|

well, I still hope it'll be good.
I loose hope about once/week though.
Then bethesda clarify what they meant or that it was a misuqote...
And hope slowly rises.

Bethesda seems like they'd be the ultimate politicians, whenever they speak about Fallout 3 they could say one thing but mean another. It's like perfect double speak to keep their asses out of the fire. Ofcourse it doesn't help that they're so purposily vague, but I think the matter that they offer NOTHING concrete, AT ALL (aside from the fact that they're going to make it), is allitle bit more. I understand that they haven't even begun development, but you'd think that as bussinessmen, they'd have SOME idea what they're going to do with the product.

By being vague and unconcrete, they're gonna get what they're trying to dodge : the fans hating them.

I'll buy it. Even if it's not exactly what we're all really wanting, I'm sure it will be more entertaining than most of us presume.

I hope you get a special CD-KEY which lets you register to a special forum and then you can flame the devs like NWN.

The maximum people in a group is 5, so that's all we'll need :D

Because pleasant surprises are more so pleasant than unpleasant (shock), I tend towards pessimism. However, as bad as Fallout 3 could be, it could always be worse. Just think, at least Hasbro aren't involved (to my knowledge, at least.) :drunk:

If h]Hasbro were involved, I'd just wander off and kill myself...

Personally, I doubt it'll be what we want, but I still have hope. Especially after having seen that their other new game basically has had everything sensible their fans have suggested, which brings hope to my black little heart, that they might actually do the same for us, which would make me immensly happy!

If they don't, there're always mail-bombs and anthrax...

I think I'll play either way. What we hope to get from the game is irrelevant, though, like masturbating, it's fun to make stupid demands for impossible new features in this forum.
