Apart from brown clothing, was there anything bad? Nowadays pop music mostly takes it's origins from the 70s music, be it Bowie, Iggy Pop, Hendrix, Marley, or even Kraftwerk for the electronic scene.

Plus, cheap hash and no bras is awesome.

70s was in a way the 'birth' of modern music, before the corporations got their claws stuck in and started sucking the life out of it. Same goes for the early 90s for PC games... the most creative games generally came out of that period before publishers latched onto how much money could be made

Gaming all kind of went downhill in the post-Doom world, right?

look, the 70s were a flashback of President Clinton while he dropped acid in the Flamingo club. Just deal with it okay. Disco is dead.

Dood, you know Hendrix died in 1970 and released no actual albums? Live at Monterey doesn't count.

If you want cutting edge 70s music I would suggest krautrock or something. It's German and pretentious, so it has to be good. Damn you.

Skid Row's alright. "It goes", so to speak.

But to me, the 70's were teh ultimate communist parteeh, so it sucks. Finland was all crazy about the whole Mighty and Magnificent Socialist Union of Soviet Republics, fashion was fucked-up (I mean, look at the haircuts of that time! And the glasses!) and technology was poor.

Finland in the 70's = no sugah, babe.
HANOI DOESN'T ROCK.
