Douchebag, GTA4 is the 4th version of the GTA game engine. Why is Half-Life 2 called Half-Life 2, and not, say Half-Life 4? Same reasoning.

I could be wrong but aren't the first two grand theft autos almost exactly the same, so shouldn't the second one not be the second one, by your reasoning? Anyway the Nintendo Wii is the only system I could afford. Does anyone actually plan to buy the PS3? Anyone who is buying it themselves that is.

They still have a different engine...

Using that logic Bethesda is making Fallout 2!

Defining a game a sequel or an add-on is up to the licence owner(=publisher). It's often a marketing decision. Therefore, if Rockstar says it's GTA4, it is GTA4 and not GTA7 or GTA: Revenge of Chuck E. Cheese.

4 generations of GTA, eh.
GTA 1 = GTA and GTA: London 1969
GTA 2 = GTA 2
GTA 3 = GTA 3 + GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas
GTA 4 = :mystery:

Seriously though. Why does a Blu-Ray player cost $400 more than the PS3... which can play Blu-Ray discs. I find it odd.

It's well known that console manufacturers are all taking pretty big hits on the individual units in order to gain market share and then make money on selling you all the rest. And before you say it's retarded, it worked just fine for Microsoft with the first Xbox.

I believe Nintendo is the exception since it made a profit on the sale of each gamecube unit and is expected to suffer minimal loss, if any, on sales of its new wii console.

Considering that of the big three console companies they also charge the highest royalties on games they do look like they are the greediest of the three.

Hay people, you should all just shut the fuck up now.
what is wrong with you anyway, talking about consoles like a bunch of retarded eleven year olds.

And GTA, thats one of the dumbest games ever, designed for nerds wanting to be swell guy.
I find it amusing, and yet saddening that you peeps (some of you) want a console. Its cocks and asses all over again.

Consoles are inferior to PCs in every way, and yet everyone wants them, and I cant imagine why....
Its not like its hard to use a computer.

Fucking cocktwats, I hate you and I want you to die.
Painfully, with a PS2 controller jammed up your ass, causing massive rectal bleeding. All while mouthfucked to death by bill gets in a x-box costume.

Technically they may be inferior but I don't have to wait for new patches or have shitty hardware issues, plus I'll never have to upgrade. I also like the fact that me and the boys can come home from the pub and play Pro Evo 5 in my living room rather than sitting huddled around a PC.

I have Sensi, I just can't enjoy it without my old school Amiga joystick.

That's like the only joystick that I didn't brake. By the way, are there any games that support it?

I have to agree with Mismatch. Consoles suck. Also, you don't have to sit huddled around a computer, we recently got a 40" screen, and my brother hooked his PC up to it. It's better than TV. Also, you can use most joysticks with a PC, can't you?

Patches are no longer exclusive to PC. That was the whole point of Xbox Live and whatever piece of shit Sony dreamed up. They're falling for the release now, finish later technique. Many of the console games I've played recently are buggier than most PC games.
