Seriously though. If you enjoy a dip find someone show you this shit crazy beetlenut shit these Palauan guys at work do. I'm afraid of it because my former boss said it burned like a motherfucker, but it was a slab of beetlenut coated in lime paste, the tabacco out of a cigarette, and some sort of leaf.

Why don't you try the swedish thing snus? It's kinda like snuff, and kinda like chew, but basically it's grinded tobacco mixed with arsenic to put under your lip. Like this. Or according to pedia, like this.

Anyone of you non-scandinavians tried this? It burns like shit, especially the snus that's not packaged in tiny bags.

Where chew is often large pieces of tobacco (Red Man, Levi Garrett, Lancaster, Beechnut) that you can actually gnaw on. Dip is refined, almost like moist sawdust, and often flavored (wintergreen, mint, cherry) that you pack in your lip. see Skoal, Copenhagen, Kodiak...

you rest dip in the space between your teeth and the wall of your mouth and just suck on it. if you tried to chew it, it would turn into an awful mess and youd probably end up vomiting. i guess its just an american thing, then?

it's just like smoking, but without the cigarettes. i use it instead of smokes when i'm on a plain or a long train-ride.

Sounds alot like snus, except for the flavouring. Flavouring seems gay and very non-viking. Skoal probably is swedish; it's almost the same as Skål (prenounced the same, anyways) which means Cheers! in swedish.

Now adays it's rare that something actually tastes like cherry when CHERRY is written on the package. Same with vanilla and dolphin-blowhole (my favorite).

Well, I'm just looking for some sweet cherry, that's all. Artificial or not. I would on the other hand NOT try dolphin-blowholeflavoured anything. Just doesn't sound right.
