It was all ok.

Football on large TV in smallish apartment with 10 people.

I don't care for most sports so I drank a lot and wandered around.

Poked at the ferrets in their sleep cage and played darts alone for a bit. (In a tiny space used for storage and sewing and ferrets).

Surfed the net a while.

The weed was much less obvious than last time.

People also drank a lot less.

One plate of food each, really. (Mad leftovers)

I remember stuffing myself as a child.

Now T-Day is like a normal meal but with much more expensive and fattening ingredients.

meh

The beer was Spaten and the wine was from a box.

It did feel pretty "normal" this year - maybe cuz I slept about 5 hours in the middle of the day. Took some plates to some friends who had a baby in the hospital. They appreciated it - took some pictures with the little sausage - cute, big lips.

It's possible that brandade de morue is not as renowned because its star ingredient is salt cod. Any seafaring culture has a tradition of heavily salted fish, and since cod has always been a popular fish, there are variation of salted cod everywhere: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and of course France.
