In V.15 in the living section there is also a hunting rifle in the lower right bathroom. once in the bathroom it is in the north west corner.

There isn't that much Junk in FO1 since it's actually useful, unlike in FO2 where you find the (now practicly) worthless thing all over the place.

Are there any quests that need the Junk (in FO2)?

i dont think so. the only one that i think could have one is the broken hills, but iirc there isnt one there.

all the parts that you need to repair things with are given to you. and you dont really have to improvise.

1.) There's junk all over the place. Some of it you can pick up. Fun, i guess.

2.) He, like many others, sell junk for a living.
