By far Eastwood. Ubfortunately he has done way too many shitty movies. Most of the movies he's in are only watchable because of him. Has anyone seen trailer for his new movie? Its namd after a car I think and it looks like pure badassness.

The Duke was kinda cheesy.

Not really a fair comparison as the types of movies they made were only superficially similar. Also, Clint did other types of things, too.

Boozin' and brawlin' with an orangutan sidekick...

we can ignore some things

Blondie from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly vs Rooster Cogburn from True Grit.

Tough call.

I'm going to have to go with Blondie.

So many fantastic John Wayne films: Donovan's Reef, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, The Searchers, etc. Then again, so so many fantastic Eastwood flicks as well. I agree with the gent who said the comparison was unfair.

Eastwood wins, but he's made some fucking stinkers - Play Misty For Me? Pink Cadillac?

I'm surprised no one mentioned Where Eagles Dare. It's a pity he's getting too old.

The Duke's an icon, but I can't forgive him some of the sloppy propoganda films he's been in. Green Berets, Sands of Iwo Jima. He's part of the reason America has a crappy reputation when it comes to war movies.

Charles Bronson is so underrated.
Fucking man's man.
Look at these pussy metrosexual action stars today.
Bronson was ugly and brutal in appearance and method
Death Wish.
Dirty Dozen
Once Upon a Time in the West
Battle of the Bulge
The Great Escape
Then all those movies from the 70s and 80s.
He was the anti-pretty boy.

He was a righteous motherfucka'
Who the fuck else would you trust to hunt down and kill Japanese subway gropers?

I know that Chuck Norris is like some kind of punchline for kids under 20. I've never seen Walker Texas Ranger, but if you're judging the guy by that and the bowflex commercials then you're ignant. Much like Bronson he made a string of badass movies in the 80s.

Look at this resume:
Braddock: Missing in Action III (1988)
Firewalker (1986)
The Delta Force (1986)
Invasion U.S.A. (1985)
Code of Silence (1985)
Missing in Action 2: Missing in Action Lone Wolf McQuade
Forced Vengeance (1982)
Silent Rage (1982)
An Eye for an Eye (1981)
The Octagon (1980)
A Force of One (1979)

Guy fought Bruce Lee in the fucking Colliseum people

And what about Lee Marvin? I'd take him over John Wayne myself.

Chuck Norris doesn't belong in a Eastwood vs. Wayne battle D: I'd understand if you had tried this in a Van Damme/Stallone thread; and even there, he'd ne no match.

Chuck's a wuss. But I can understand Lee Marvin. Him and James Coburn, they don't come much harder.
