I read an interview on Sid Meiers few days ago and the last question was if there was any chance to have an Alpha Centauri sequel. Sid said no, beacuse EA had the rights.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilization_II
in which case you are a moron.

I always used to think that it was the same game.

Well in that case i've never liked a civilisation game.

I suggest reading Nietzsche's inedita from the period when he worked on 'the will to power' (which contain the original material) since the actual book was published and pre-digested by the author's sister and her nazi husband when the author could do nothing about it.

'will to power' is the only readable nietzsche, though.

I played a few games of Defcon with a friend, through the demo, and while I don't think I'd buy it, it occurred to me that it does have one use.
I submit that in the future, all DAC disputes should be handled by way of Defcon battle. You can do 1v1 multiplayer with the demo, so anyone can get it, and it's a really, really small download.

My favorite part, aside from the soundtrack, is the intro screen with the 3-d transparent globe and the various readouts.
Have the stuff move around a bit, zoom in and out, and it would be an amazing screensaver.
I'd love a windows theme or 3D browser that looks like that.

I remember a guy showing me how he could easily make a 3d webpage 9 years ago, but he said nobody would use it. It was most probably about loadtimes.
