Sentry Modes

This may be a Q for Sextion 8! Obviously somewhere is a variable that tells the game what sentry mode a character is in. The entity editor doesn't allow the changing of it but BOSEE might. Whereabouts would we look for this short of trial and error experiments? It would be great if we could modify a NPC to always be in aggressive mode so that when he finally joined the team we wouldn't have to go through the save and open routine.

To fix that, you could just make the "on-the-fly recruit" start with a PI of 1, then change it when the map starts.

Although, it would be kinda neat if we could have a condition of "Human is in Aggressive Sentry Mode" to make townspeople get a little edgy when soldiers walk around, looking for somethin to shoot :D

That will work to avoid the problems with the NPC who joins your squad in the Rebellion maps??? It sounds so simple, when did you find that out?

I just kinda thought of it when I read your post :D

Remember, though, that if a PC goes to an NPC, the actor can't "use" waypoints (and floating text, IIRC). It also seems that if a PC becomes an enemy NPC, the actor won't attack the PCs (one of the Reavers in Reb1 is a good example of that).
