Lately I've been listening to Krautrock bands like Can and Neu! a lot, notably Can's earlier stuff (Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi, Future Days) and I like what I hear. I'd like to get more into it because what I've heard I like and krautrockers seem like friendly people.
Can anybody give any advice? Hook a brutha up with some more titles or artists? Or is this too obscure? D:

I think Steppenwolf is German, or at least sounds like it. And isn't that what's important?

No.
I think you should explain what exactly is Klautrock, atoga.

Krautrock is just German rock.

No.
Krautrock is an early 70s form of German rock. It's not very rock like, however, and it's a polar opposite of German death metal and the like. What defines kraut is that it's highly repetitive, experimental, and kind of eerie sounding.

Krautrock is a sub genere of progressive rock, it was based in europe, mainly in germany, hence the name.
While still considered progressive rock, it has a unique style, usually incorparting elements of electrical ambient music.

Afraid not, as I'm only generally familiar with the genere. I'm pretty sure you know more about Kraut rock then I.
Maybe you should try listening to some (early) Gong though, It's not Kraut rock, but it has similar elements and is a good listen anyhow.

Okay, cool. Thanks mate. I'd recommend that you should investigate some of it, it's a pretty diverse and interesting field.
